Burgers' Safari

Burgers' Safari is a section within Burgers' Zoo in Arnhem, in the province of Gelderland. Burgers' Zoo was founded by Johan Burgers in 1913 in 's-Heerenberg, relocated to Arnhem in 1923, and has remained a family business since its inception.

Burgers' Safari is a specific habitat within the zoo designed for savanna animals. When it opened in 1968, it was the first safari park on the European mainland to feature lions.
