Gulpen

Gulpen lies in South Limburg, in the far south of the Netherlands, in the undulating landscape known as the Heuvelland. Getting to Gulpen is straightforward, with good road connections from Maastricht, Heerlen and Aachen. The compact village centre is best explored on foot, and bike rentals are available for those who want to see the countryside, though the hills make an electric bike a sensible choice.

The best time to visit Gulpen is from late June to early September, when the weather is mild and the hills are lush and green. Spring and autumn also offer pleasant conditions, with wildflowers and colourful foliage enhancing the landscape.
