Hollum Village Center

Hollum is the largest village on the island of Ameland, located on the westernmost point of this West Frisian island in the province of Friesland. First mentioned in 1485, the name likely means "settlement on a hill." Hollum developed as an esdorp, a village characterized by a long street, formed by the merging of two original settlements in the Late Middle Ages.
