Vlielander Kerk

The Vlielander Kerk is the church of Oost-Vlieland, the only village on the Dutch Wadden Island of Vlieland. The island is small and quiet, about twelve kilometres long, and almost free of cars, so a visit to its church and village is a gentle, walkable affair. The church is a plain, traditional Protestant building, typical of the island communities that depended on fishing, piloting and the sea, and it plays an important role in the life of the small population.
