The Depot of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, located in Rotterdam’s Museumpark, is the world’s first publicly accessible art storage facility. Opened on November 5, 2021, by King Willem-Alexander, this architectural landmark was designed by the firm MVRDV. Often referred to as "The Pot" due to its distinctive saucer-like shape, the building houses over 150,000 artworks from the museum’s collection, making them visible to the public for the first time.
