The Vermeer Centrum Delft is a dedicated museum and information center celebrating the life and work of Johannes Vermeer, one of the Netherlands’ most renowned painters. Located at Voldersgracht 21 in the heart of Delft, the museum is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and is fully accessible to visitors with mobility needs.

Inside, you’ll find a comprehensive overview of Vermeer’s art and his deep connection to Delft. The permanent exhibition includes life-size reproductions of all 37 of Vermeer’s known paintings, allowing visitors to appreciate his mastery of light and composition up close. The museum also explores Vermeer’s studio techniques, the symbolism in his work, and the historical context of 17th-century Delft.

Current exhibitions include “Wij zijn Delft,” a collaborative artwork featuring over 110,000 dolls created by artist René Jacobs and local residents to mark the 350th anniversary of Vermeer’s death, and “The Girl with the Pearl Earring, from the Past to the Present,” which delves into the enduring appeal of Vermeer’s most famous painting.

Admission is €12.00 for adults, €6.00 for ages 12–17, and free for children under 12. Students and Museumkaart holders receive a discount. The museum shop offers books, Delft Blue pottery, and Vermeer-themed souvenirs. The Vermeer Centrum Delft is a must-visit for anyone interested in Dutch art and the legacy of one of its greatest masters.
