The Sint-Servatiuskerk, officially known as the Basilica of Saint Servatius, is a prominent religious landmark in Roermond and one of the 100 most important national monuments in the Netherlands. Built above the grave of Saint Servatius, the patron saint of Maastricht, the current basilica is the fourth structure to stand on this sacred ground. It officially received the title of basilica minor in 1985, reflecting its historical and spiritual significance.

Visitors can explore the interior of the church, which is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00 (Monday–Saturday) and from 11:30 to 17:00 on Sundays and religious holidays. During the summer season, from July 1 to August 31, the basilique remains open until 18:00. The site also houses a treasury, or schatkamer, which contains valuable liturgical objects and artifacts. Admission to the basilique and treasury is €7.50 for adults, €4.00 for students, and free for children and youth up to 17 years old under supervision. Guided tours by an expert guide are available for an additional €7.50 per person, with a minimum group size of 30.

The admission fees contribute to the maintenance of the basilica and its collection. Dogs are not permitted inside the building. The church serves as a place of worship and a cultural heritage site, offering visitors a glimpse into the religious history of the region. Its location in the heart of Roermond makes it an accessible stop for those exploring the city’s historic center. The combination of architectural grandeur and historical depth provides a meaningful experience for travelers interested in Dutch ecclesiastical heritage.
